Class Description: I will emphasize the scientific method, good
lab procedures and having fun with science. Children learn by doing, so we will
spend most of our class time doing experiments and procedures. I send home
"information sheets" for each lesson which includes vocabulary that I would like
the kids to be familiar with. I will also send home worksheets or some form of
"homework" about twice a month. There will be a few out of class assignments
such as an insect collection, a leaf collection and a seed collection.
Occasionally I ask the students to look for articles about the current topic.
Supply list: Loose-leaf notebook and paper, a set of colored
pencils, pen and pencil.
