New Class Schedule for 2012-13

We are excited to have so many questions about next year from new and former families.  We plan to post by April 1 to the public.  Current families will have first choice and will hopefully know before that date what we will be offering.

PHSA T-SHIRTS  will be on sale for the next few weeks for $10.00.  You can get sizes Child's Med or large, or Adult Small, Medium, Large, or x-large. Checks should be made out to "Shadycrest Baptist Church".  The shirts are slate blue with a PHSA logo on the front and can be purchased from the teachers on Wednesdays.

 SETHSA/Scripps SPELLING BEE - Postponed to Wed., Jan. 25 at 12:30

PHSA will have our Support Group Spelling Bee on Wednesday, January 25 at 12:30 PM in the Shadycrest Baptist Church Auditorium.  The Bee will be administered by our teachers. 

Qualifications for the SETHSA Regional Scripps Qualifying Bee:

• Students in grades K - 8th
• Not participating in the SETHSA Just For Fun Bee
• Scripps Rule: Student must not have reached his/her 15th birthday on or before August 31, 2011
• Scripps Rule: Student must not have passed beyond the 8th grade on or before February 1, 2012
• Scripps Rule: Student must not have completed or have been enrolled in more than 6 high school-level courses or 2 college-level courses on or before April 30, 2012
• Qualified as top 2 winners & 1 alternate from Support Group Qualifying Bee
• Registered by January, 2012 deadline

Spelling Lists: Once again this year, the Spell-It! books are available to assist students in studying and preparing for the type of words used in the Scripps competition. However, words from any source, including the dictionary, will be used. The purpose of this competition is to determine the individual student's ability to spell, not their ability to memorize lists.

Mrs. McWhirter's Science & Spanish - Front Living Room

Mrs. Stanaland's Reading, Writing & Social Studies - Interior bedroom

These classes will meet upstairs in the 2-Story Church Building at 3214 Hamm.  It might be best to enter from the back of the building at the new church entrance at 3017 Yost.  Go up the OUTSIDE stairway to the large meeting room.
