Mission Statement:

We believe that children  are a   gift from the Lord, and that  training them in righteousness is   a calling for each mother and father, no matter how you choose to do it.  We believe each child is special and has something to  bring to the  body of Christ!
Pearland Home School  Alliance (PHSA)  is a cooperative organization of Christian home school families who gather together to share our talents for the benefit of  our children. Together we provide a Christian learning environment to supplement  and enrich your  home schools for all ages through 12th grade.

NEW - VOICE AND GUITAR INSTRUCTION

Cost: $60.00 per month for weekly 30-minure lessons. Students must purchase curriculum.

Lessons will  be scheduled on Wednesdays and meet at the Shadycrest Baptist Church White or Red Annex.  These lessons may be scheduled between PHSA classes.

Linda Lira is a graduate of East Central University in  Oklahoma , with a BME in music education. Linda has worked as a choir director in both public and Christian schools as well as public and church choirs. For more information on how to get started with guitar and or voice instruction pease contact Linda directly.

HORSEMANSHIP CLASSES

Calling all Home Schoolers!  Would you like a chance to step out of your
usual classroom and into a classroom lined with hay bales, riding helmets,
and a herd of horses?  If you would, mosey on over to Sherlock Farms
Horsemanship Center!  We offer classes for anyone ages 5-18 years old, and
regardless of your age or riding experience, there is always more to learn.
We teach Introductory Horsemanship, Intermediate Horsemanship, Therapeutic
Riding for special needs kids, and Equine Science classes.  Every student
will be taught the basics of riding, horse handling skills , equine sciences
and horse care.   Lessons starting at $20 for group lessons or $30 for
private.  Instructor is certified as a riding instructor and carriage
driving instructor.

*         Hour-long lessons

*         Hotdog roasts and campfires periodically

*         Horse driving lessons offered

*         Birthday parties available for students

No matter what your age or level of riding expertise, we would be much
obliged to instruct y'all in a class that suits your educational needs.

TEXAS ROCK GYM HOMESCHOOL SPECIAL
First Thursday of each month, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm  The Texas Rock Gym
(League City/Clear Lake location) has offered up a great deal for homeschoolers.
They will open every Thursday at 12:00 noon especially for homeschoolers to climb.
They open to the general public at 3:00.
The special homeschool rate for climbers is only $7.50, including the harness rental. 
(This is a big savings over their regular rate of $11.50 including harness.) Homeschoolers 
are still welcome to stay after 3:00. Adults or kids 14 and older are required to belay 
(hold the ropes) for climbers. People who only belay are free.

Remember to wear closed toe shoes.

HOME SCHOOL SKATING

Date: First Thursday of each month
Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Join other Clear Lake area homeschoolers at FunTime Skate on Texas Avenue. If you arrive before noon, a small lunch is included in the price.

$5.00 allows you or your child to skate and includes skate rental.

HOME SCHOOL ICE SKATING DAY

Date: First Tuesday of each month
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Sugar Land Ice at 16225 Lexington Blvd.
Homeschool Skate Day is the first Tuesday of each month. Time: 10 a.m.-noon. Admission and skate rental is $5, which is about a 50% discount from the normal price. Come out and enjoy ice skating with fellow homeschoolers. For more information, contact Julie Holmes' at Sugar Land Ice (which is located near First Colony Mall). Her number is 281-265-7461. 

		

		PEARLAND YMCA PROGRAM FOR 
		HOMESCHOOLERS

		

		Classes meet Tuesday/Thursday from 
		12:00 - 1:00.  Please note that you must sign up for EVERY month 
		before the 20th of the month prior.  The fee this year for facility 
		members is $15.00 per family per month and for program members it is $45 
		per child per month.  We have a lot of great activities again this 
		year and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again.  Please

		PEARLAND SWIM ACADEMY:

		

		Pearland Swim Academy (PSA) offers quality 
		swim instruction for ages 6 months and up in our year-round indoor 
		facility in Pearland. Our instructional pool is indoor and heated to 90 
		degrees. Classes may be held in any type of weather. Our observation 
		area is climate controlled with viewing monitors. Parents can see and 
		hear the entire class in the air conditioned room while siblings can 
		move around without causing distractions to the class in progress. Our 
		staff is trained in the Pearland Swim Academy Curriculum, first aid and 
		CPR. The Pearland Swim Academy Curriculum is skills based toward 
		achieving our Water Strong Certification then continues through stroke 
		development and pre-competitive training.

		

		 PSA
