PEARLAND YMCA PROGRAM FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
2008-2009 School Year:
The Vic Coppinger Family YMCA offers PE classes for children ages 5 and up with sport specific drills and hands on training, to insure your child gets a well rounded experience. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30am-12:30pm. Monthly fees are $10/child for facility members and $45/child for program members, all monthly fees must be paid for by the 20th of the month prior. If paid after the 20th of each month, there is a $5/child late fee. This program began on Tuesday, September 2nd and will end on Thursday, May 28th.
2009-2010 School Year:
The Vic Coppinger Family YMCA offers PE classes for children ages 5 and up with sport specific drills and hands on training, to insure your child gets a well rounded experience. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30am-12:30pm. We will begin registration for the 2009-2010 year on August 17, 2009, we will be breaking the school year up into two sessions. Session one will run from September 1-December 17 and session 2 will run from January 5-May 27. Registration fees are $10/month per child or $40/session 1 and $50/session 2 for facility members or $45/month per child or $180/session 1 and $225/session 2. Your child will receive a free HSPE t-shirt if you pay per session instead of monthly. All monthly fees must be paid for by the 20th of the month prior, if paid after the 20th there will be a $5/child late fee.

TEXAS ROCK GYM HOMESCHOOL SPECIAL First Thursday of each month, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm The Texas Rock Gym
(League City/Clear Lake location) has offered up a great deal for homeschoolers.
They will open every Thursday at 12:00 noon especially for homeschoolers to climb.
They open to the general public at 3:00. The special homeschool rate for climbers is only $7.50, including the harness rental.
(This is a big savings over their regular rate of $11.50 including harness.) Homeschoolers
are still welcome to stay after 3:00. Adults or kids 14 and older are required to belay
(hold the ropes) for climbers. People who only belay are free. Remember to wear closed toe shoes.

| Homeschool Skate Day is the first Tuesday of each month. Time: 10 a.m.-noon. Admission and skate rental is $5, which is about a 50% discount from the normal price. PEARLAND SWIM ACADEMY:
Pearland Swim Academy (PSA) offers quality swim instruction for ages 6 months and up in our year-round indoor facility in Pearland. Our instructional pool is indoor and heated to 90 degrees. Classes may be held in any type of weather. Our observation area is climate controlled with viewing monitors. Parents can see and hear the entire class in the air conditioned room while siblings can move around without causing distractions to the class in progress. Our staff is trained in the Pearland Swim Academy Curriculum, first aid and CPR. The Pearland Swim Academy Curriculum is skills based toward achieving our Water Strong Certification then continues through stroke development and pre-competitive training.
PSA
offers 2 week camps or 1x or 2x per week maintenance classes year-round.
