Required Text and Materials:  folder (teacher will provide), zipper pocket to keep supplies in, pencil, stick glue, scissors, and crayons.  The supplies will be stored in your child’s zipper pouch, and will be available for use during other courses, if need be.

Class Description:
This class is for students who have a firm understanding of phonics and word building skills.  We will be using the trade readers that are level appropriate.  We will also have lessons using these trade books on 7 key reading objectives: context clues, predicting outcomes, main idea, summarizing, fact/opinion, sequence, and character analysis.
