Required Text and Materials: folder (teacher will provide), zipper pocket to keep supplies in, pencil, stick glue, scissors, and crayons. The supplies will be stored in your child’s zipper pouch, and will be available for use during other courses, if need be.

Course Content:
This is a reading class that will introduce and help build phonemic awareness. We  will support this program with sight words and the Guided Reading leveled reader program to make this as individualized as possible. We will have one on one, centers and small group time  during our class. I will use a multitude of different styles and techniques to support your child's needs.

Homework: Your child will be expected to read their leveled reader and review assigned word families and sight words through out the week.
